Myths of Competition are killing restoration of the Everglades

On May 7. 2019 an unprecedented meeting took place among the Board of County Commissions from five Florida counties: Glades, Hendry, Martin, Palm Beach, and Okeechobee. Deputy District Commander for South Florida in the Jacksonville District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Lieutenant Colonel Jennifer A. Reynolds, addressed the crowd with a strong message: the biggest problem derailing Everglades Restoration are the constant myths about Southern Florida watershed being perpetually shared amongst the public and media.
